Creative Writing Workshop

Join Rahla this October in Montauk, Long Island for an exploration into the lives of those who came before you.

It is said that we die twice, once, when our hearts stop beating and again, the last time someone says our name. Every one of us holds in our DNA, the traumas and triumphs of our forefathers. So much of our being is explained through the lives of our ancestors. A turn of phrase, an inexplicable fear, a talent, a dream or the curls of our hair, we carry in our souls the transgenerational traumas and triumphs of our forefathers. We do not travel alone through time, but, together, epigenetically and intrinsically connected to ancestors we have never met. Discover the stories, motivations, recipes, terrors, romances and joys of your ancestors.

WHERE:
Montauk, Long Island, NY

DATES:
October 16 and 17 (Saturday and Sunday)

Tell your story with Rahla Xenopoulos

A creative pursuit of inner truths and story-telling, both memoir and fiction.

Join me in a place of safety, adventure, and freewriting, where together we will abandon both inner critics and writers blocks. We will work with photographs, memories, imagination, music, and smell.

This workshop is designed for experienced, published authors as well as for novices who have a hidden story to excavate and tell. It is designed for people who have a flickering feeling that they might have a book hidden within but need to discover what that book is about, for people who have been sitting on a book but haven’t managed to start and so too it is designed for people who enjoy the therapy of creative writing. But, above all, it is designed for people who yearn for a place of kindness.

Bring pen, paper, and an open heart. All people who identify as women are welcome.
